http://www.7daystoearn.com/tutorials/website-traffic/website-promotion4.html
Creating quality content is just one part of the story and promoting it to get lifetime free targeted traffic is another.
In this article you will learn a killer system that I use to promote my site using articles. This system when applied on a consistent basis has the power to…
1. Get you high Google Page Rank.
2. Thousands of incoming links to your site.
3. Tons of free lifetime traffic and leads pouring in through out the day.
4. Sales and profits you might have never thought about.
These are 4 simple steps that I use to promote my articles to get truckloads of hungry traffic to my site instantly and on long term basis. You can get started today applying this same formula and it works without fail.
Step 1 - I Make Sure to Write Articles in a Bunch of 5 to 10.
Yes, that’s right. I always make sure to research hot topics and write articles in a bunch of 5 to 10. I make sure that the articles are related to my website and focus on different categories.
The secret to writing articles in different categories is that you get exposure of your website to different kinds of people surfing around the directories.
Step 2 - Submit Articles to Hundreds of Article Directories.
However this is a painful job if you do it all alone. I would recommend you to join an article distribution service like ‘Article Marketer’ that will submit your article to hundreds of directories at a click of a button.
This is the fastest way to spread your article. They will also review your articles to make sure that they are properly formatted and contains all the important ingredients to make sure they get included in all the directories.
Also make sure that your article gets included in ezinearticles.com article directory. This article directory gets me highest amount of visitors to my site from my articles.
Step 3 - Submit the Article to Your Website.
What most website owners do is that they create an articles page on their website and just jumble up all their articles in one page.
What I do is that I arrange my articles in different categories and in a step by step tutorial format. This makes my visitors really excited to check out articles as they present a killer step by step tutorial where they can get quality no cost information related to a particular theme.
Make sure you do this and then promote your tutorial page and you will see your site traffic and repeat visitor traffic explode.
Step 4 - Submit Your Article to Your Blog.
Make sure you submit your article to your blog. But here’s a simple trick I use.
What I do is write an exciting introduction for my article and then I link my article to my blog.
I never submit my entire article to my blog. Rather I submit the article introduction and a link to my article.
This solves 2 purpose. Your blog will not contain duplicate content, it will contain unique content as you have specifically written a killer introduction only for your blog.
Unique content will give your blog more value in the eyes of search engines.
And secondly I can get my visitors to my pain content pages where I can promote my other related products along with quality content.
Step 5 - Make Posts in Forums.
STOP! If you are thinking that I am advising you to submit your articles in forums, please donot do this unless the forums allow you to submit your articles.
Most of the high traffic forums will not allow you to submit your articles directly into the post. And if you do it you will be cosidered as a spammer and spoil your reputation on the way.
Here’s a trick that I use. For example: I have written an article that shows how to promote articles.
Now I visit a forum and I see that someone has asked for help on this same topic. What I will do is copy some relevant content from my article and then I paste it in my post.
The forum members will think that I have personally written a quality post to help the person but all I have done is converted my article content to a relevant answer to the question.
So make sure you donot paste the article directly. Rather copy some of your relevant article content and then convert it into a userful solution for the member. You will earn respect and credibility by doing this.
Just apply the 5 simple steps above and I bet you will see your website traffic blast through the roof. You can thank me later.
Check out part 6 where I will show you how you can expand your internet business using this newly created content in 5 crazy steps.

How can I increase traffic to my blog?
I have the below blog how can I increase my traffic. Are there any subjects, tags that are more popular, or can I advertise it.
http://uk.blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-1eRqFd48K_KUhPv_zVYiSgcw0sUefG63ud5vfwlB_w–?cq=1&inv=.uX.E1ZgLw–
Tough question it is. You need something catchy so when someone comes they stay for longer and read, but not bounce back like if they kicked the wrong finger.
You write books, right?! Well, I see it like you go through communities myspace, facebook, 43things, and all the bunch of others and do cherry-picking one by one with personal invitations to the people who have listed fantasy, adventure and that other stuff in their interests. At first, put the entire book online. Page by page. No kiddin’. Coelho does it. He says people read 20-30 pages max on-line and then run to the store to have it them touch the real paper. I trust this one approach. Works, I believe.
Advertise online with Google’s adwords or Yahoo’s pay per click makes sense to me if well done and smart budgeted.
It is a long science the traffic drive. not enough place to list it here. Make yourself the search and inform thyself for ’sales letter’; ‘community networking’; pay per click, adwords. \
Good luck.
How do you get people to read and comment on your blog?
How do you get people to view your blog? I just would like to hear people’s thoughts on some things I put to paper, but I am not interested in spamming places to get people to come.
If I have written some topics in my blog that are often asked in here, but I have been hesitant to include any links because my feeling that is too similar to spam and the idea of asking/answering a question is not to direct traffic to my blog.
Any ideas? What are your thoughts on this?
Well, the main people that would read it is the people in your own blog community, or anyone browsing around for that specific topic that happens to click a link from google or yahoo search. You could go to various forums on the topic and paste a link to it. I don’t see a problem in posting your link here either. I don’t mind, and I don’t consider it spam because I am the one who came here and looked at it. It wasn’t thrown at me or somehow phished to me.
My only blog is on myspace and its not on very important topics, I never give direct links to the blogs themselves, but I do give links to my profile page, and anyone can read it being a member or not. www.myspace.com/musicmaniact
I dont consider that spamming because I get nothing out of you for your visit, except maybe a new friend. I think it would be spam if the link were to take someone to a business looking for money or some type of service.
That’s all just my opinion.
Good question though!
How to attract traffic for a blog/website?
Lately I have developed a blog. I want that the blog should appear while searching it through search engine.
Hi from France ?
Type your question ( shorter) on google for example, and too, you can put a link in your profile on here, and on your Yahoo profile ( the one which replaces Yahoo 360 ° )…
I put my website addresses on my profile on here and the traffic increased of about 50 % !!
Have a nice day,
Cat.
Are blogs with multivarious topics more popular?
Check this site –
http://imaginealljobs.blogspot.com
and tell me do blogs with various topics get more traffic than the blogs written on a single topic?
I am going to have to disagree with jaxicle here. A multi-topic blog may catch the wayward search engine victim but it is a brief useless visit. These blogs generate only the random hit.
A blog with a theme or purpose will usually rank much higher (closer to page 1 on the searh result) when the topic they cover is searched on yielding a better chance to lure the interested party. A second effect is that there is much of interest for the visitor and they are likely to bookmark the blog, view archived entries, return and subscribe to the RSS feed (yielding more hits).
I would say over 75% of my blog hits are returns to themed blogs that I get value from.
How can you write or create a good blog, forum and ezinearticle?
I just begin my internet venture quite recently and I’m not able to generate good decent idea on which topic to explore and generally not a techno guy which know how to create effective blog or forum cause I did some research that you could get fast traffic to your blog. I would be glad that anyone could give me idea or how I can exactly to kick-start in any other way or site that you can recommend. Thank and appreciate on your comment.
If you want a blog to promote your site… you need to focus the blog on content related to your site… for e.g. if your Web Design Company you right stuff about web design… thats when it will work for you and get traffic… If I right about Food on my blog the people who’ll come thru from the blog to me site would be looking for recipes not Web Design services…
Further you can write blogs that make no sense but has your keywords etc. (this is GREY Hat SEO)… or you could have a blog the connects to your clients/users…
If you still can’t get a head start on how you need to setup the blog and optimize it, I suggest you find a professional agency.
For an eg. of how an SEO blog should be visit my company’s blog:
How do I get traffic to my blog?
Hi, I started a practice blog. I am putting some google Adwords on there. Yes, People click these ads, but how are they finding my website, without me giving it to them?? Is it in the Search Engine or what?
Thank You,
Kaloni
Hi, there are many different ways, but the latest buzz is Entrecard.
A lot of bloggers swear by it. It’s a totally free service that can generate you hundreds of visitors a day.
Here is a quick tutorial about entrecard:
http://www.michaelaulia.com/blogs/entrecard-guide
How long did it take for your blog to start generating decent traffic 500 - 1000?
Also if you wouldn’t mine telling me what type of blog it was I would be appreciative.
I currently have 5 blogs up and running. I started them 2 months ago. Two of the blogs are getting about 100 visits a day consistently. The others are less, but I have not promoted them as heavily yet. I was a total newbie when I started. I use a membership site that has shown me step by step how to create a blog and market it. I plan on having at least 20 blogs in a years time and to keep building on it. I agree with another poster that keyword choice is critical to getting good traffic. The program I follow teaches that first and foremost.
PS I am doing this while also having a full time job outside of the home.
Can I choose keywords that will make my blog appear on search engines?
I have a wordpress.org blog that is still very new. I know if you search the exact name it comes up in google. But I am wondering if there is a way to elect phrases & keywords to direct traffic to my blog or is it all a matter of the content & headings?
In wordpress, they are called "tags". Just add the words and/or phrases you want and click "add".
You might also want to look into the SEO All-In-One Plug-In for Wordpress.
how i can increase the traffic of my blog?
I have recently started blogging as hobby I don’t have much experience to get more traffic for my blog plz help me.
1. Leave Comments on other Blogs-Find other blogs and start participating in them by making comments. To ensure success with this make sure you leave a quality comment. In addition this also works best if you find blogs with a lot of traffic. Think about it if there is a lot of traffic on a blog and you make a comment anyone that visits that blog is a potential visitor to your blog. Believe me it works.
2. Participate in Forums-Find forums that are of interest to you or that are on the same subject of your blog and start participating in them. Again just like leaving comments on blogs to ensure success give quality information when you post to a forum. Once I started a thread on a forum and I drove a lot of traffic to my site.
3. Yahoo Answers-Signup and participate in Yahoo Answers. You can either ask a question or better yet you can answer a question. If you give quality answers to questions people will come to see your blog.
4. Tweet your Posts-Open a Twitter Account and each time you create a new post Tweet it. Now of course you need some followers before this can be effective, but a Twitter account is free and before you know it you will have some followers. One of the best ways to get followers is to place a Follow Me Twitter button on your blog.
5. Link up with other Bloggers-As you start to blog and visit other blogs and start building relationships with other bloggers you can ask them if they will put a link to your site on their blog. Now in return you should put a link to their blog on yours. I have done this and it has proven to be effective in driving referral traffic to my blog.
Tip
Keep a journal of your daily blogging activities. It doesn’t have to be anything special just a plain Word document will do with the date and what you did on your blog today. That way when you see jumps in traffic you can look back at what you did during that time frame. This will give you an indication of what works to drive traffic to you blog. That way when you find something that works best you can build on it.
