how do I increase my website traffic?
If I’d like to increase my blog or website traffic quickly, what’s is the best way to do it?
Depends on your site and your budget.
If Google loves it, Adwords is pretty fast. If they don’t, use Yahoo’s equivalent.
Both cost money. Check out your competitors and model your ads after theirs with your own twist. Keyword Spy is a good tool for seeing what keywords they are bidding on and how much they are paying. There is a free version.
If you like the pain of walking on broken glass, starting writing and submitting articles;) Just kidding. Make sure you know your keywords. Article marketing is keyword based. Wrong keywords = no traffic.
If you have a blog, bookmark new posts with Traffic-Bug.com. They use multiple IP addresses, different accounts, etc. so you don’t get banned.
For my blogs, I use a plug in for RSS aggregators. It sends my RSS feeds out so other websites can pick them up. Great for back-links.
Google has improved their tools big time. I’ve been using them together. Wonderwheel is a cool way to see how visitors got to my keyword while searching online. I also find the most expensive and most competitive keywords in my niche. Some are paying $9 per click. Do you think $9 per click traffic converts? Oh yeah. I let Google tell me where the traffic is coming from, they send it right to my email inbox. Then I go steal the traffic. Sweet. It’s also free. It only takes Google 15 minutes to find it for me. Beats hours writing articles and it is very targeted based on questions I tell Google to look for. A "must" for 2010.
Best wishes,
Jeff
How can I increase traffic to my vintage collectables blog for free?
I have recently started a blog to show people my vintage collectibles. I want to create an interactive blog, with people commenting and returning to check out new posts. I want to target people that are interested in vintage collectibles from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. I’m not sure how to go about promoting and increasing traffic. I don’t have a lot of money so I want to do it for free predominately. Ant ideas that have worked for others?

How do I get traffic to a blog on blogger?
I need people to find my blog via keywords but I can’t find the Webmaster tool on blogger to do this. Or the Sitemap tab that supposedly exists. And how to do feeds. And I don’t understand how I sign up my blog with search engines. Can someone explain this to a beginner as myself? I’m entering a blog contest partly judged on comments left on the page, so getting the traffic there is important.
post links in chat rooms saying click this link for free stuff, that usually gets a few people
Which blog sites will people most likely visit and read my blogs?
I’m currently with wordpress.com but i don’t think that site gets a lot of traffic.
Do you know of a site that people visit frequently and read blogs?
Doesn’t have to specifically be a site specifically made for blogs?
what I want is a high traffic site where people will most likely find and read my blog posts while still remaining anonymous.
Whether people read your blog has much less to do with the service or platform where it’s hosted, and much more to do with the quality of your blogs and the strategies employed to promote them. I recommend that you spend a significant amount of time developing a unique blog identity and utilizing marketing methods. You can’t create a blog and then expect readers to automatically come to you.
Learn major ways to promote your blog. This includes methods involving RSS feeds, search engine optimization (SEO), social networks, partnerships and community building. Also, popularity is not just measured in total number of unique page hits. You should look for ways to retain readership, beyond a one-time visit. Just visiting and commenting on other blogs helps. Marketing your blog effectively will take time and effort. So, see these posts and tips for promotion ideas:

NOTE: Some web sites or forums have guidelines (like Yahoo! Answers) regarding advertising and/or posting external links. Posting against site rules can get you classified as a spammer and/or banned. So, posting your blog link "everywhere" without restriction is not an effective strategy. Again, see the links above for more productive methods.
How to generate traffic to your website or blog?
Is there any free method of drawing traffic to a website or blog?
Many companies advertise that upon payment of a $167 fee, they will post your blogs and generate traffic to your blog or website guaranteeing you income in excess of $ 2000.00 each and every month.
These types of advertisements sound like scams.
So, how do one generate traffic to a blog or website?
Anyone who guarantees to make your site rank in position 1 at the search engines or who guarantees you income of $XXXX.XXX is full of crap. Don’t fall for that.
The ways you drive traffic to a site is marketing. There are lots of ways to market a site online and offline.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization): You can make your site rank for keyword phrases that people looking for your type of site will be searching for. This is more of a strategic, long-term approach. In general, it will take months, if not a year or more to rank well for even moderately competitive search phrases. But EVERY site who plans to be around for a while should be thinking strategically as well as tactically.
Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, etc. You can promote your site on social media sites. But this is tricky. It CAN drive significant traffic if done correctly. You have to build a community of followers by participating in the community… basically talking about everyday mundane things, being funny, whatever… but DON’T push your product often. Some say 1 of every 100 tweets for instance should promote your company… any more than that and people see through you hard sell and defriend or unfollow you. They begin to see you as a spammer instead of someone interesting to follow.
PPC (Pay-Per-Click): You can buy ads on search engines (like the Adwords ads down the right side at Google). You bid on keywords on a per-click-basis and based on those bids (and other things like quality score) the engines will display your ad when people search for those keywords (called an impression). And if someone clicks through to your site by clicking on your ad, then you are charged what you bid (unless you have a high quality score in which case Google will lower what they charge you).
CPM: You can buy banner or text ads from ad networks. They generally charge you a fixed fee for each thousand impressions. So if you buy 10,000 impressions they will display your ad 10000 times on random sites that participate in their Ad networks.
Custom Deals: You can work out deals to have your ad displayed on various sites like the home page of Yahoo! and MSN ($$$$$$$$) or related web sites that you’ve identified as being frequented by the type of visitors you are targeting. Typically, these are based on some timeframe like a day, a month, whatever… at a fixed fee.
Off-line advertising: TV, radio, newspaper, business cards.
What you do… which combination of marketing you select… depends on your business, your product, your industry, the types of visitors you want to target. But basically it all boils down to marketing.

SPAM = Don’t Do, People think it’s good advertisement but in reality it’s not.
1.Videos, Start uploading videos advertising your website, maybe someone will come across it and like.
2.Make use of any sites like twitter, myspace, and facebook to broadcast to your friends, but don’t just all out spam it, an update every 30-45 minutes is reasonable.
3.Make flyers, and start attaching them under windshields and on door knobs.
4.Find hotel complexes and find a bulletin board maybe by the laundry rooms or mail boxes and pin it up.
5.anything is possible just keep trying.
